For many years, ANF's fuel element production in Lingen has been successfully operating an inspection system for fuel pellets, the Automatic Pellet Inspection System (APIS). Now, after an intensive development phase, the APIS has been comprehensively modernized. As APIS plus, the system further enhances the already high-quality level of the pellets and thus increases the fuel assemblies' quality. This contributes to the safety of nuclear power plants (NPPs).
